I am a chilean architect and I have always marveled at nature, her strength,
its beauty and its energy, which has led me to develop a work to show and bring nature closer to people.
I studied and worked in Santiago, then settled in Concepción in 1998, the south of my country, I dedicated myself to teach Architecture at the Universidad del Desarrollo (1999-2000) and took painting and drawing courses. I was also part of Eileen Kelly Millan´s Engraving workshop, since 2005, where I especially developed serigraphy and metal engraving. In the following years, till the date, I have studied and continued to investigate non-toxic techniques in engraving, to develop my artistic work. I´ve have always liked to create with my own hands, like a craftsman.

I have participated in many exhibitions in Chile (since 2005) and USA (2011).
I have been part of a collective of women artists since 2015 (In Situ) and I have also been a member of art galleries in Concepción (Galería de los Ocho and Juana de Arco).
I have taught art workshops for children (St John´s School and CDA of Concepción). Untill today, I do art training workshops, especially in engraving and painting (@canobrataller).
Connect people with their natural environment is the main objective of my work. I am an observer and witness of the natural elements that surround me and I show them through my own eyes.

She has always marveled at nature, her strength,its beauty and its energy, which has led her to develop a work to show and bring nature closer to people.
Her theme is strongly marked by the places where she has lived, close to nature, territories strongly marked by the natural landscape, always dominated by the hill, not only contemplatively, but seen from the inside, the proximity to the water, the land, the cycles, the interaction of wild elements in complete harmony. That is why elements of nature are always present in her work, such as branches, seeds, birds, stones, trees, etc., sometimes figuratively and other times closer to abstraction.
It aims to reflect the natural elements that surround her, not as a photo, but for what they really are, the force they radiate, the color they represent, the invincibility of nature, how wise and stoic it is, how resilient, how immense, the grandiosity and the small and subtle details. She wants to be a witness and make a record of the natural greatness as seen by her own eyes.
Composition, repetition, rhythm, contrast, scale, proportion and surface are variables that plays with shapes and space, which translates into an aesthetic experience and joy for your eyes.

Claudia lives in Concepción, in southern Chile, where she works and teaches in her workshop. Her work has been exhibited in many exhibitions within Chile and also abroad (NY).
